Participating in the 2024 STEP Program was an unforgettable experience that truly enriched my journey as a young entrepreneur. The program taught me crucial, practical lessons like correct bookkeeping and how to find extra capital through bootstrapping. Most importantly, I learned the importance of financial discipline, including how to pay myself a salary as an entrepreneur. Thank you, DoE, for this life-changing experience!

“Our journey started in October 2022 during the Step Program. My group and I used our Step capital to start making popcorn—that’s how Kyak’s Treats was born! I used my share of the profit to continue solo, selling to students in the hostel.
Three years later, that small venture has grown into a CAC-registered business. The program taught me learning, consistency, and steady growth.
Now, I’m even a Step S Trainer, guiding others. The Step S Program doesn’t just teach; it truly builds entrepreneurs, and I’m proud to be one of them”
